As someone who has always enjoyed writing, creativity and connection, Rebecca Lucie was launched as a passion project. Initially intended to kickstart my career as a writer-turned-creator, it has since metamorphosised into a multifaceted online space. Here you can expect to find a whole host of inspiring and original content. Whether you’re interested in fashion, books, beauty, culture or recipes and health, Rebecca Lucie will be your trusted confidante.
My Why
As mentioned, Rebecca Lucie was started to compliment my desire for writing and content creation. Whereas I thought I would simply be writing the odd article here and infrequently posting images, I soon discovered that this blog could offer so much more.
For the majority of my young adult life I have often felt perplexed as to why I’ve struggled to meet people or make connections. As someone who pleasures in learning, the arts and exploring the world, I never thought it would be so difficult to meet like-minded people. How wrong was I. Despite social media, it feels as though we’re more disconnected than ever.
I want to change that.
My Mission
I aim to provide a space where a whole host of individuals, especially women, can come together and enthuse over their hobbies and/or passions. Whether you enjoy cooking, discussing the latest trends or want to chat about your favourite Jane Austen novel, why not do it here?
Life is never one-dimensional and neither are we. I cannot stress this enough. Why is it that a woman who enjoys makeup can’t also debate about the intricacies of the human psyche? Why can’t she discover a new salad recipe but also want to bake herself some cookies? How is it that Jennifer can’t want tips for glowing but to also share her favourite Science Fiction podcasts? Most importantly, why does every contemporary lifestyle magazine feel so conflicting? While it’s okay for these publications to inspire, where does one draw the line between aspirational and unattainable?

As I’m sure you’ve gathered, I have many hopes for this blog. Nevertheless, it can still be neatly deduced. Ultimately, Rebecca Lucie is the all new and improved lifestyle magazine. It is an online, and hopefully one day in-person, site-turned-community which seeks to inspire, entertain and unite.
